Anti-HAV was detected in a total of 543 cases by radio immuno assay technique, including 358 pediatric patients and 185 healthy adults without history of liver disease. The results obtained are as follows;
1. In child group, the positive rate of Anti-HAV was 97.8% under 1 month old, and tend to be decreased with age. The positive rate of Anti HAV was 0% in 8 to 9 months old, and then the positive rate was slowly increased with age. After 9 years old, the rate was increased rapidly; 68.8% in 9-10 years, 81.2%, in 11-12 years, and 84.6% in 13-15 years.
2. In adult group, the positive rate of Anti-HAV was 94.6% in 16-20 years old, 93.0%in 21-30 years, 97.2%, in 31-40 years, 97.2% in 41-50 years, 93.8% in 51-60 years, and 88.2% in 61-80 years.
